Aftermarket / Retail
Building off our long history of larger laboratory to production starter and alternator testers D&V understands there is a need for evaluating units in the aftermarket. Our solutions for this market combine the testing of staters and alternators into one machine because in warehouses, retail stores, garages and the rest of the aftermarket, space is a premium and testing parts is not a core part of the business. Our test systems do, however, complement this core business as they provide service to the end customer for each of these aftermarket establishments. Our AST and JBT line of products help evaluate the performance and function of a starter or alternator to insure it to specification, ensuring that the correct part is replaced on a vehicle, and they also help to reduce returns of merchandise, reducing warranty.
With our partnerships with OEMs, Tiered Supplier, and our parent company, Motorcar Part of American, D&V has a proactive approach to aftermarket testing in that we are well aware of upcoming trends, and have developed our testers to accept updates via the internet.
Our AST line is an all-in-one stater and alternator tester with simple and safe operation. A customer can add their own part number to its database as they desire and have a test bench capable of testing light to heavy duty rotating electrical parts.
The JBT line builds off the AST as it to is an all-in-one stater and alternator tester, but it also includes a D&V database of part numbers or a custom database of customer part numbers. There are two versions in the JBT line; JBT-1 intended for light duty starters and alternators testing in retail, warehouse, or garage locations and the JBT-10 which covers light and heavy-duty starters and alternators testing intended for warehouse, distributor, and aftermarket rebuilders.
The JBT line also offers the added benefit of the DVLink, a portal for evaluating how the customers’ locations are performing and using the testers. DVLink provides business intelligence to measure and encourage best practices from individual customer locations and helps to drive key customer metric such as reduced returns and warranty reduction.
